Berwick, Pakenham & Lyndhurst, Victoria

Contemporary, low water use gardens with no lawns were created for a series of display homes for Orbit Homes in Berwick, Pakenham & Lyndhurst. Covered outdoor spaces use ‘Natureed’ cladding to create overhead shade to timber pergola areas. To replace lawn areas, the gardens feature traditional paved areas, timber decking and garden beds as well as areas of stone, pebble, gravel and feature rocks. The homes also feature a variety of custom designed outdoor elements, including water features, ponds and sculptures to give potential home owners ideas and inspiration. Planting consists of a mix of low water use natives including Myoporum parvifolium (Creeping Boobialla) and Lomandra longifolia (Spiny Headed Mat Rush) and hardy exotics including Phormium cookianum (Mountain Flax), Agave attenuata (Century Plant), Lagerstroemia indica (Crepe Myrtle), Pyrus calleryana (Ornamental Pear) and Ulmus parvifolia (Chinese Elm).
