Several boardwalks and viewing platforms were constructed as part of the 20 hectare Laurimar Wetland system to provide viewing and seating opportunities and to provide pedestrian connectivity throughout the wetland system and open space areas. Four major linear pedestrian boardwalks connect residents to the town centre, sports fields and playgrounds. Constructed on a series of central concrete piers, the boardwalks are framed with galvanised beams and galvanised balustrading, with feature spotted gum timber boards and an angled spotted gum timber handrail. Five viewing decks of varying sizes and shapes are also located throughout the wetland site. They have been sited to take in long range open water views and views to significant existing Eucalyptus camaldulensis (River Red Gum).
