The Mazenod College Performing Arts Centre, IT and Year 7 combined building was constructed as part of the continuing upgrade of the School’s infrastructure. Sited on a moderately sloping green-field site, there were significant design challenges to be met in order to terrace the approach to the building as well as provide DDA compliant access. UELA worked closely with Latitude Architects to address these
requirements and create a robust and multi-purpose landscape for student use. A large gathering space is provided together with more intimate seating areas for break out groups. Tough low maintenance plants were specified, which also provide sensory stimulation through color, texture and scent.
