A modern and bold entry statement has been created for Quarters, a housing development in Cranbourne West. Two cantilevered 28 metre long black powder-coated steel arbours with a series of irregular perforated anodised aluminium roof and side panels have been set in a path of Tuscan Toppings gravel and flank the main road entry. Signage is provided by a dramatic, 4.0 metre high letter ‘Q’ as well a series of ‘pic perf’ perforated signs attached to the arbour. Advanced Quercus coccinea (Scarlet Oak) soften the bold angles of the pergola. Additional planting consists of Leptospermum ‘Burgundy’ (Burgundy Tea Tree), Lomandra ‘Tanika’ (Lomandra) and Cistus salvifolius (Sage Leaf Rock Rose). The entry feature is located adjacent to the PEET Land Sales Office, which has a large raised deck area, feature post and wire fences, lighting and extensive planting and lawn areas.
